The Convergence of Big Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence with Life Science and Healthcare Innovation

Big data, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) are becoming increasingly integral to almost all aspects of our lives, including healthcare, biomedical research, and life science technology translation and commercialization. This talk will discuss the current applications of big data and ML/AI with regard to several areas of oncology research (e.g., cancer diagnostics and therapeutics), as well as tissue engineering, advanced biomaterials and 3D bio-printing, and entrepreneurial opportunities. The talk will also provide insight into the future implications and applications of AI, ML, and big data in life science and healthcare in this highly multi-disciplinary space in order to significantly improve patient outcomes as well as yield long-term positive economic impact.
